Featuring three stories in one:

Tantalus in Tartarus
Snow White
The Fall of Eve

------------------------

The manip was worked around the concept of Tantalus's punishment in Tartartus. For trying to trick the Grecian gods by feeding them his son, Pelops, Tantalus is punished for all eternity in which everytime he tries to reach for a fruit on a tree, the tree will grow further and further away. He is also surrounded by water up to his neck but if he tries to drink, the water flees from him. He spends an eternity, day after day, struggling to eat and drink but he is teased constantly.

Tantalus = tantalize (the English verb)

Though, by the way this done, I ended up seeing two other stories as well. Blur on the apple is on purpose and no post processing this time. I'm finally happy with something I've done as of late!

I like your concept. Actually, I told my parents and sister about the myth just half an hour ago. It's one of my favourites :).

Thank you! I hope to do more conceptual art based on Greek mythology!

I love how the curtain blends with the veil wrapped around her. You can hardly tell which is which :D like the curtain was wrapped around her neck... does it make any sense? It's late :giggle:

Thank you! You do sense! In that way, the curtain is like a barrier preventing her from getting the apple (for the myth of Tantalus) or warning her to stay away (for Snow White and Eve)!
